#A-roundin' ThirdAndHeadedForHome,
Do you you guys play baseball in Russia? Announcers will say, ""Fogerty's rounding 1st and heading for second", etc. We're playing covid ball here, so the Announcer-in-Chief says, "Turning the corner". He said it again last night, even as we set a daily case record.

The U.S. set a record Thursday as the number of new coronavirus cases rose to over 77,000, topping the previous record in July.

Nationwide, 77,640 new cases were reported for the day, up from the previous record of 75,723 on July 29, according to NBC News' tally.

I use Worldometer, which only shows 74,300 cases yesterday, not quite a record.

Are we headed for 100,000 daily cases? Will that be when we round third?
