Hi Mannie,

I suspect you are chewing on the answer.

When we recycling folks in my hometown wanted to know if recycling paid for itself to the degree that it would save us money to recycle, the trash collector told us: "it costs more to run two trucks than one".
I suspect the same is true for renewables plus a ofmore reliable electricity back up fossil fuel generation. duh

It costs more!

When one looks at the competitive world we live in, a country with more expensive electricity, when we have an abundance of natural gas,(at decade low prices} and effective reduction of our collective carbon footprint (which no country can rival or has surpassed us at),is a fool's errand to go down the greenies path to a less competitive economy.

You folks need to address the bigger offenders who are planing more coal fired electrical generation plants! 300 alone in China, India, and Pakistan. Go there where your message will be more effective!

Good luck on that!

I like my electricity cheap and less pollutive It is the best of both worlds today, THANK YOU!

Bob
