Thanks Bill for your response. After reading several of your posts, I hope you would contribute to this thread. There is something that puzzles me. Whenever analysts (or that type) talk about the market, they (often) say "market thinks months ahead". ie If there is going to be inflationary pressures in the future the market will start to show signs of that now. So, for arguements sake, if the merger of banks could take place after the report to the government why shouldn't the bank stocks stay up from now, even if the interest rates went up? This is just an opinion and certainly NOT a "stock advise". I would like to hear any opposing arguements so that I can correct myself (if I am wrong).
