Character problem?--Here's a guy carrying the weight of ridiculous rumors about his neck, standing before the world during the State of the Union speech --never flinched, never stammerd or stuttered. It took tremendous strength and courage and that IS character. Why is his character in question? Is it because of rumors of sexual affairs or shall we dig up the Ron Brown, Vince Foster, Mena Air Force Base, Whitewater affairs as proof? Not a damn thing proven, nothing but gossip and rumors. Yet, all we hear from the Limbaugh, Liddy types is the character problem, and we, the poor American slobs are suffering for our foolishness in putting him in office. The people are happy to the approval ratings of 70%-- yet if we listen to the conservative idealogues there must be something wrong with us! Are we to believe his enemies are the guarantors of character? HUH! I ask you, what is so noble about leaking unsubstantiated rumors? What courage is there in hiding behind a "conservatve cloak" of self-rightousness? These prude, arrogant, purse-lipped Puritans act as if they are the progenitors of the God Almighty Himself, and they alone shall decide what morals you shall live by and how sexual desires shall be satisfied. Is that character?? If so you can have it. And next time you stand up to take a leak, make sure you hold your 'organ' with a gloved hand and close your eyes-- if not, you might go blind. |
