I should have included that for many folks, mental preservation may be even more important when the market and stocks dive . . . when stocks and the market are correcting those people having most of their portfolio invested won't be in a positive state of mind . . .

to make big money in the market you have to be a buyer when the market signals it may turn higher . . the most important signals occur at difficult times . . people sitting on big portfolio losses won't be able to act at these important turns if they are in a negative state of mind . . . . there's no mental stress if sitting on a lot of cash while the market and stocks are falling . . clear, objective thinking happens when the mental state is positive . . buy the best stories at the time of important turns and fortunes are made when the subsequent market rally becomes a bull market rally . . . .
