SI favours readers
or
Non-readers have trouble

SI is exactly like rooms full of people conversing.
Readers can be involved in many ongoing conversations and issues.
Messages on one thread are often directed at other threads.
The readers can only follow by reading a lot and their orbits increase when they do.
Messages about a particular issue may be widespread on many threads.
PeopleMarks are a tool to help follow conversations.
If an exchange gets heated in one room comments may appear in other places.
The comments are directly related to the original discussion, they are just elsewhere.
The threaded discussion format favours non-readers.
Everything right there and they don't have to work to follow along.
They generally don't enjoy nuanced conversation.
Here we hear.

There are really only two kinds of people on SI, sellers and buyers.
Everyone one of us is a buyer and a seller and anything can be bought and sold here.
That is figurative obviously, spamming and selling things are absolutely verboten.
Even if you are eighty and a senile fool you cannot spam or sell things here.
PeopleMark Henry J Costanzo and follow his posts, age is never an excuse on SI, he is an original.
Some things didn't grow well here, religion fared poorly.
Some things grew well here, politics and idle conversations.
There are still extremely focused high value stock conversations going on here.
Getting that value is more difficult on SI if you don't make an effort to read.
Paul Senior and Paul S are not selling the same thing, who is saying a thing matters.
Understanding who a person is on SI is always relevant.
Who they are in the real world "may" matter but that conditional "may" has nothing to do with real world.
If you are believable likable and friendly in here that means nothing in the beginning.
Most Amway salesman are likable and friendly, they just never mention Amway.
Boorish arses claiming some real world credo are a dime a dozen here, we`ve met CEOs galore.
You will meet everyone here, SI is full of self-madeup millionaires and geniuses.
If you read something then follow along, track down the source, do your bit.
SI is full of smart people who bite the dime, the silver is tested.
Your drivers licence and Facebook account mean absolutely nothing, kids, nada, dogs, nada.
Oh we have dog discussions and kid discussions.
Perhaps after awhile you will be in discussions that others actually believe are real
I am well into Talking Indian territory here, you won't get that but a lot of people will.
It is good Jeffrey is trying to help you but what if he was trying to sell you a webnode.
Would you know that? Could you penetrate that disguise and see the webnode salesman?
Take a second and Google "business wire, the webnode three" .
Many of us still have our original Webnodes and the laugh out loud that came with them.
Phony is phony and the phonies hide out here in every discussion.
Racists are disguised a political pros, religious zealots, hide out as atheist political salesmen.
Both racists and religious zealots suffered tremendous routs in the early years of SI.
Neither have much influence, selling white supremacy doesn't work when we are all black.
By black, I mean we are all reduced to type, it is the only way to build things here.
Thought leaders live here, real ones, not the phony ones in the real world.
We all have a role to play, we are all part of a larger tale, a bigger picture.
SI is still the First Community
