This pair is a good place to start - along with their friend, Sunetra Gupta, a prof from Oxford.

Kulldorff - who is Swede himself - pays very close attention to what they do in Sweden.

In a few words - an old person is 1000 times more likely to die of CoViD than a young one. Since group immunity will happen anyway, one way or another - it makes sense if most infections happen among the young, the overwhelming majority of whom have very mild disease, when they get it.

Waiting for the vaccine... it’s becoming more realistic, but even now, shutting down entire nations - as they’re about to do again in Europe - is unacceptably costly, in too many ways. Basically, Swedes accepted the reality that there will be pain, that many people will die - and refrained from lockdowns.

They’ve learned about the importance of keeping the old and the sick out of trouble - and, I’d expect they’ll navigate this current wave brilliantly.
