I'm very happy with our Los Angeles city-owned DWP which still owns its own power generating plants.
.

Crazy people forced PG&E and Edison to sell off their power plants, so all they now own are distribution grids which require major upgrades. Los Angeles opted out of this suicide pact.

Out of state firms like Duke Energy bought the lucrative power plants, and now you pay them for electricity.
.

As a California taxpayer, I certainly don't want to pay for your electrical grid upgrades. — Raise PG&E power rates now to pay for the desperately needed infrastructure improvements.

Regulators have kept PG&E utility rates too low for too long to gain approval from rate-payers. Now it's time to pay the piper.
