Due to the nature of CV-19 being highly contagious estimated to be 10 times more than flu. They've created a pools of uninfected people, but not immune people. All it will take is a few carriers getting among them, than their sacrifices will mostly be for nothing, unless a degree of control is considered a success. There is also the possibility it is like the common cold but far more debilitating to some. There is no cure for either the common cold or flu, CV-19 may be something we will have to live with or die from here forward. The part about some studies I find the most alarming is it appears some people, possibly all can be reinfected, in the same way as with the flu and common cold. I'm 75 and had it, to me it appears it exacerbates preexisting conditions such as arthritis for an example. In my case I woke from a nights sleep finding myself practically immobile, every muscle and joint ached, it took me 10 minutes of intense pain and effort before I could make a fist, or use my hands. Experiencing weakness, headaches, forgetfulness, dizziness, light headiness, stomach pain, extreme fatigue, sleeping for 20 hours a day. Weeks of gradual tapering off, with setbacks before returning to mostly normal. I believe I briefly experienced dementia, briefly nothing had meaning. I stuttered had difficulty finding words, and my decision making was disastrous. It affected me to various degrees and in various ways for at least 16 weeks, during that time I experienced numerous set backs. I didn't experience the respiratory problems as many do. Today I'm probably 97% back to normal. Not sure if I now have all or some degree of lasting immunity. It is mutating, making it even more difficult to find a vaccine. Only thing I'm certain about is the uncertainty of it.
