reply to AJTJ - I pre-ordered before the August 2020 release date and then received the latest generation ( unlocked version ) when it was released ---- the Google Pixel 4a mobile phone with 5.5 inch dimensions which came standard with a 128GB storage and a fast processor.

* Fastest device I have ever had either as a portable device of any kind .... or when compared to a much larger tower desktop with Solid State hard drives and mucho RAM and fast processor.
The speed with which this hand held performs tasks is remarkable and the battery keeps on trucking for 40 hours in the case of my use looking at charts and platforms on the AT&T network when being mobile in geographic regions of the Western United States where other carriers are completely absent.

* The night sight vision integrated into the camera operation and the video functionality produces remarkable visual quality, even
when the photos of lake water with mountain backgrounds are captured 1.5 hours before the actual sunrise.

I believe the purchase price during the pre-order for this latest 4a was approx

$338 for this unlocked phone,

which I self-connected in a total of 2.5 minutes start to finish including the time on the web ... to the AT&T carrier through Red Pocket Mobile who sent me the sim card,

and ported over one of my existing phone

#'s from another carrier that I had been using.

*** All the years I previously had the Verizon carrier attached to

a lower quality unlocked smartphone using Red Pocket Mobile,

the time efficiency in dealing with
all the self-serve functionality of Red Pocket Mobile as the service provider
on the Verizon towers was beyond dispute
fantastic and rock solid reliable.
