this is funny.. I pulled up this 10yr chart. US$/CNY poundsterlinglive.com if you key 10 yrs ago... 6.67168 10 yrs later.... 6.67147 it's a wash. as far as that article goes, money goes/ will go to China for now. investment money is liquid and the only way for China to sustain incoming foreign investment is a strengthened China middle class.
