Years ago, many libertarians had valid points, in that they were against the U.S. meddling in the affairs of other countries that would come back and bite us in the ass... 9/11 was the colossal example, and the result of 9/11 was the idiotic forever wars in the Middle East, which are mostly futile and counterproductive.
