For anyone who's interested in my straddle plays, I sold all my Cymer at 17 1/8 (got lucky on a GTC order at 17). It's up on yesterday's earnings and an upgrade from MS. If it follows the pattern of other stocks in the group during the past two weeks (such as NVLS, PRIA, ASYT) it will show a brief upward shot this morning, followed by a long downward trend. Another upgrade or two, if they come, would give it additional spikes, but I don't think the institutional investors are coming back to CYMI anytime soon, due to the future earnings warning.

The preannouncement trading range has been $14.50 to $17.75. The MS support and earnings should raise the range a little, so IMVHO I think it will settle into a range about $15.50 to maybe $18. I'm not going to play with it for a while, but if I did, I'd buy at $15.50, sell at $17 and go short at $18 or over.

But, like I said, this is too much work. I'm buying my favorites (ESIO at 32 yesterday) for an 18 month hold and spending my days at honest labor.
