I am posting now for two reasons, one to keep this thread current, and the other is to share some of the 9/25 press release, I mentioned in an earlier post. The news service that released it was "Universal News". It quoted the President and CEO Rudy Palladina on a number of things. One was that the companies fiscal year earnings (their fiscal year ends on April 30, 1997) will sharply exceed their 65 cents (canadian) a share earnings from this fiscal year (1996). He also said they will increase profitability by changing the revenue contribution to be 50% from each division because of the greater profit margins of the overhaul division (whatever that means). He said he thought this would happen within the next 24 months. He also mentioned they are trying to win a contract with the Canadian Coast Gaurd to supply 15 new helicopters. RFP's for this contract will go out this fall. The company is also talking to major oil producers to possibly provide helicopter services for major oil projects in the North Sea and Africa.
