I've talked with a few guys in BC who had CATV modems and dumped it in favor of BCTel's ASDL implementation. They were paying around $60/month for ASDL and sounded far happier than they had been under their WAVE(?) Cable setup. It seems CATV companies just dont understand networking, and continued to offer the same level of service they offer the $5.95 per PPV crowd.
