A further update on the Venezuelan "E-News" Site:

"In late-breaking news Steven Kaplan's "Gold Mining Outlook" reports that Placer Dome (PDG)Venezuelan executive, Carl Gagnier has said that Vancouver-based PDG has decided to end its mining operations in Venezuela, due to intractable disputes over ownership rights to the Las Cristinas mine."
