I don’t think people are fundamentally good, and they can cover up crimes. It’s that presumption of innocence exists since the Romans. I just think people deserve to be treated as innocent until they are convicted. I realize I will not see some criminals at large and in charge that way who just didn’t get caught. However, turning back to the Donald, the likelihood on an IRS audit is a lot greater for him than for ordinary Joe, because IRS is less interested in small fish. The risk is so big if you get caught, you don’t really want to cheat. Cooking the books to some degree can be perfectly legal. Not the way Bernie Madoff did it, obviously-g-
Normally people won’t intentionally f. with the IRS. They hire accountants for that, not to cheat. Or, to legally cheat, if you wish. They help minimizing taxes. Nothing wrong with that.
