McNabb, Bro

re Why did you not trade it like you should have told me? It's funny how you could have made alot more money the past 6 months if you woulf have done that also!

There are several reasons I did not trade it as I should have told you:
1) My portfolio is not as large as yours. (VVVbg) However, if I just hold DELL for another couple of years, it may become comparable.
2) I got caught in some margin calls in the Asian problem, because I did not have stop loss orders on APM. I had to liquidate some positions to handle that. This led to a meager amount of the wherewithal to buy.
3) I have tried to time DELL in the past, and batted only .250 about
getting back in more cheaply. Usually, it cost me about 3-10 points to get back in, so I have quit trying to time it.
4) Had I had some cash available, I would have spent it buying in the 70s.
5) I hate paying the tax man. I know that if I hold DELL for 18 months, a) I will have increased profits, and b) much lower taxes to pay on them. Bottom line: I don't trade DELL. I have sold naked puts on it, and will continue to do so.

Regards, 3.
