I don't hate Trump. I think that many of the policies that he has gone after were right, though he has often implemented them incompetently. And some of what he has done has been on the money.

But it is very important that the next administration does their best to screw him and his entire family (and likely cabinet members) to the walls and when they take over the senate (which they will not do unless they hit the ground running by addressing the needs of their base) they should hang as many GOP heads on the walls as they can.

This is not about revenge or hatred. It is to serve two important purposes: (1) The US is engaged in a cold civil war. If you don't inflict serious damage to your opposition, there will be no incentive for them to seek peace. They will simply bid their time until they get the upper hand and then will come after you to crush you. This is exactly what happened to Obama in his first term and the whole country paid the price for it. If both sides don't decide that enough is enough, there will be no peace. So going after Trump and everyone associated with him is a practical imperative. (2) There is a lot of pent up anger on the left for a ton of reasons ranging from Garland and the supreme court to their overall treatment and dismissal by successive GOP admins, but especially from Trump's. Unless they experience catharsis and feel that their grievances are addressed, there will either be mass riots (the excuse will be immaterial). OR they will elect extremists the next time they vote, which will make the problem even worse.

So going after Trump and his associates is a necessity and not a matter of personal vendetta. Of course, I don't expect Biden to do such a thing. He is cut from the cloth as Obama and is completely wrong for the US at this juncture. Maybe Harris will breath some life into him...or maybe he will resign or fall ill before his term is over.
