I think Clinton's dead. The polls are misleading and the figures depend on questions preceding the ones that are published or broadcast. Further, although the polls say Ameicans have had enough already, the ratings are shooting through the roof. On top of that, Kenneth Starr is not going to back off just because a few polls say Americans think Clinton's doing a good job -- the question is the breaking of laws, not how Aunt Nellie likes the way he parts his hair. The majority of people think he is lying and they don't trust his character. He may be a celebrity, but he's not a movie star embroiled in a scandal that's good for the gossip columns. This man's going down. FT
