Allen: I was thinking more about the future, perhaps 5 to 10 years from now. Will PC's just continue to evolve the way they are now? I just don't believe that in 2001 we will all be raving over the new DELL PC with an 800MHZ Pentium XXXVVVI processor, 1 GB of Ram, and a 5 TB hardrive! Sometime, somehow, there is going to be major change to the PC as we know it. The basic PC model has been around for what, 20 or so years. Realistically, will required software memory space keep growing with the advancement in processor speeds and memory availability? I don't believe it will, unless Corel comes out with Word Perfect v20.1 which can interface with one's brain and record our thoughts. Many computer professional's will still be demanding faster and bigger machines but will the average PC consumer? Where does this leave IOMG? I don't know. Maybe a thread could be created for philosophical discussions on the future of technology etc.?
