It occurs to me that Las Vegas is very good at surveillance and spotting cheats. Doesn't seem that hard to set up similar, overhead cameras with hordes of observers in a separate room watching video. Permanent record, entertainment value (see, right there, where he puts his hand in his pocket, watch it in slow mo).

Elections are sloppy because the people throwing them want them to be sloppy. Read recently that a certain level of cheating is tolerated, even looked at in amusement. Being from Chicago I'm well aware of that aspect but was surprised by the 'everybody knows but nobody cares' tone.

Here I thought everybody knows but the perps are really clever and the good guys are diligent, a cat and mouse situation. We are, after all, paying them to be the cat. Or so I thought.
