The value of a patent in any field can never be estimated till it is used in various applications. Then patent can be borrowed for a royalty or can sold by the company. Also patents are copied all over the world and enough modifications are made to make it look different than the original. As long as it cannot be traced completely back to the original patent it is usually fine with the system. People do not re-invent the wheel each time. In the food arena there is no patent existing for the use of Ozone for Cyclopss. However there are existing patents in the laudry sector for the process itself.
