Yes, there were 67 Democrats (composed of Dxiecrats) and you should KNOW that the 23 dems who did not vote to end the filibuster were mostly "Dixiecrats" AKA Southern Republicans today and were mostly racists.
And some of the Republicans who did vote to end it were northern "liberal Republicans".
That vote has to be seen as progressive versus conservative. The progressives, by and large, voted for the 1964 civil rights act and the conservatives (which includes Dixiecrats), by and large voted against it
It was pure racism and the conservatives were the racists. And are Republicans (who are all conservative today) and still spewing their racist bullshit..

The Dixiecrats left the Democratic party for the modern day Republican party because they did NOT want integration. As LBJ said:" we lost the south for a generation".
