I'm not one of those claiming the virus is "fake"... But, yes, the response has been VASTLY overblown... and for reasons having nothing to do with health. The initial "flatten the curve" effort, if anything... worked TOO well... going way beyond flattening the curve to prevent exceeding capacity, when going way beyond it made little sense... Vaccines as preventive measures... aren't nearly as big a deal as effective treatments are... and given where we are in the curve already... probably too late for vaccines to matter in containing what is being made into containment by natural progression with an already lowered mortality rate. Still, you won't catch me being negligent in ignoring the risks ? I've avoided it thus far... as far as I know... and my routines aren't creating new risks for me, just now ? Your choice... and your mileage... might vary...
