I read Rush had been given "about 8 weeks" to live.

I'm pretty sure a successor is in place and ready to go. Tucker has the chops. I've never thought Hannity was listenable for moderates.

When I started listening to Rush maybe around 87 or 88, I think, it came on in Dallas on weekends only -- right after he went on the air. I worked on Saturdays and I thought, "Who the hell is this? I agree with him about everything". At the time I had a CPA practice in Garland and I listened to him daily after he went to weekdays and would often intentionally avoid scheduling appointments from 11-2 so I could listen to his show. Pathetic, wasn't it?

He was never the lunatic he was alleged to be, but I relate him to Trump somewhat in that his intellectual commentary (hyperbole and satirical) sailed right over the heads of the Left, even though he wasn't hostile to them. Even though I haven't listened in years, I'll sure hate to see him go.
