Looking at Techspot's review, I wouldn't say Nvidia still has the definite crown. Far from it!

Radeon RX 6800 XT even beats RTX 3090 over an 18 game average at 1080p (a still very popular resolution with gamers), and it maintains the lead over RTX 3080 at 1440p, just falling slightly behind the monstrously big and expensive 3090. While Nvidia's 3000 series does a little better at 4K, with 6800 XT falling ever so slightly behind 3080, the AMD cards have vastly more video RAM, which may soon become the bigger limitation at high-resolution gaming.

Note that the results are very game-dependent, with some titles showing vastly better performance on the Radeon RX 6800 series, even beating RTX 3090 decisively at 4K!

And note how much effect the Smart Access Memory feature has on some games (much more than I expected). That said, Nvidia is promising a driver update soon with a similar feature. Whether it sees the same performance uplift remains to be seen though.

Finally, the Radeon RX 6800 XT is the cheaper, more power-efficient card, with a nice compact, cool and quiet reference design.
