United Flags Weaker Booking Trend -- Market Talk
DOW JONES & COMPANY, INC. 8:30 AM ET 11/19/2020

08:30 ET - United says cancellations rose and the pace of bookings decelerated in the week to Nov. 18 as domestic Covid-19 cases climbed, prompting it to trim 4Q capacity guidance. United now expects system capacity to be down at least 55% from a year earlier having previously pegged the drop at around 55%. With airlines constantly changing schedules, the cadence of United's comments rather than capacity guidance is more likely to sway investors, though airline stocks are all mostly higher in pre-open trading.
