There are no guarantees in regard to anything. And I mean anything. Some people don't pay taxes and get away it. Some people, like Walt Disney had his body frozen so he can be revived again when science finds a cure for death. My point is nothing is full proof. People get the flu after taking the flu shot. Likewise, people will get Covid after taking the vaccine. In life, it is wise to reduce your odds of getting sick. The flu shot helps some people. The Covid vaccine will help others. Yes, big pharma will make big money. A life cannot be measured in terms of dollars and cents. I suppose if you live in the woods and have little contact with other people, it is not crucial to get the Covid vaccine. But it will help save lives. And maybe taking the shot will help reduce the effects of Covid.

No one here is presenting the Covid vaccine as the saviour of humanity. It is a great achievement and will help. Anything that reduces death and people getting Covid is a good thing.
