P-COM (PCMS) is also mentioned as a "pure-play" on wireless to Internet. Any opinions??? SURE! P-COM is very different from Metricom,P-Com does point to point data links and their system is nothing you would carry around for use with your laptop, ( check out their web page ) For example, if you had a employees in two buildings and you only had your data connection from the outside world coming into one of the buildings, you could use P-Com equipment to get your data over to the other building without running a bunch of wires over to the other building.. If I am mis-stating the type of use for their equipment, hopefully someone will correct me. If you go the Metricom web page (www.metricom.com) you will see that we are very, very different. You will not find anyone who does what we do! (Though there are some that claim they can or will soon! So be careful!)
