Stephen, << another gulf war and oil >> One of the reasons oil is cheap is because the US now has currently 4 times the reserve than ever before. This was reported about 1 - 2 weeks ago on CNBC by some analyst. This was my 1st inkling of a showdown. This time will be different. It won't be pushing them back, but will require an occupational presence in the country as was done in Japan after WW2. ( keep in mind, just my opinion ) I see 2 possible scenerios if this action were to occur. 1) IRAQ implementing capitalism as did Japan and join the world markets. --- Great ending 2) US becoming another presence in the middle east and looked upon as the Israli presence is now. Not good. Politics may not seem appropiate on the threads, but I believe this is far more critical to the economic world than the Asian flu or Clinton's sex life, as seems to currently dominate financial news. If it plays out, it should be soon. Whenever their holy period ends. Don't know that date. Larry
