Going to tell you something, It's not just a racism problem. There are 1.5 million American Canadians in Canada that are in subtle ways are discriminated against by financial institutions due to American Homeland Security idiots enforcing Obama's FATCA citizen based taxation laws. Plain and simple, foreign banks (to Americans) don't want the bother and possible harassment by the American Govt. so even though Canada is supposed to be a sovereign country, it is NOT. The Yanks call the shots here. Canadian citizens come second. Trump promised to do away with the worldwide hated FATCA but might not get a chance now. In a way is serves Americans residing in Canada who support the democrats. They just cut their own throats
