UNDERSTANDING TRUMP AND HIS FOLLOWERS In the general population across the world there is a ratio of followers to leaders, about 20 to 1. Not everyone falls into this structure, more on that later. Leaders provide structure. At their best they are like a large tree that provides shelter for their followers. Followers think they need a leader or actually need one. From the Church ladies to the recovering addict a higher power provides structure. Some followers are known as "walk behinds", not wanting to get out front, satisfied to follow making comments under their breath. The overarching structure is peer to peer and I suspect we all are able to flow through in and around all of them/us. Some leaders find a cause that makes for easy demagogery, politics, religion, ..... turn and walk away. Be neither a leader or follower.
