Tenchu's Thoughts: Lord Cuomo and the Dicktator Rule

This one is full of irony. Check out the article:

The Hill - Cuomo calls a sheriff who won't enforce mask mandate a 'dictator'

Here's what Emmy award-winning Andrew Cuomo said:
This is an emotional time, political time. Everybody has their own strongly held opinion. Right. You have a strongly held opinion that says, ‘COVID is all an overreaction. It's a hoax. I'm not wearing a mask. I'm not following these rules.’ You have sheriffs upstate who have said, ‘I'm not going to enforce the law,’
I believe that law enforcement officer violates his or her constitutional duty. I don't consider them a law enforcement officer. Because you don't have the right to pick laws that you think you will enforce, and you don't enforce laws that you don't agree with. Right. That's not a law enforcement officer. That's a dictator.
OK, Mr. Cuomo. Let's apply that standard to the left. I have OFTEN seen Democrats fail to enforce laws that they don't agree with. Examples include:

1) Immigration law.

2) Drug possession.

3) Vagrancy.

4) Petty theft.

5) Violence, looting, and vandalism during "93% peaceful protests."

6) Filing false police reports, especially about hate crimes in "MAGA country."

I don't know about you, Mr. Cuomo, but in my world, dictators are often those who exercise power over the people, NOT those who choose to allow people more freedom despite being granted power by the state.

(This reminds me of when I was called a "totalitarian libertarian fascist." It's a complete oxymoron, created by those who think being on the side of more freedom is being a "dictator.")

In any case, those sheriffs who don't enforce your decrees could be guilty of insubordination, but you can't say that, can you Mr. Cuomo?

Because you know, that might make YOU look like the "dictator."

So I think I'll call you "Dicktator" from now on. Because it's clear that YOU are the one who is trying to enforce YOUR will upon the people. Not the sheriffs.

And I don't care if you're trying to save lives. You need to be honest with yourself. You need to admit that you are exercising unprecedented powers, violating checks and balances, and issuing orders that cannot be effectively enforced in a free society like ours.

Because it says a lot when your definition of "dictator" is completely bass-ackwards. It tells me that the anti-maskers are right, at least when it comes to the state's usurping of power, if not their dismissive views on the pandemic.

From now on, every failure by the left to enforce a law will be known as the "Dicktator Rule."
