Fastracked the approval process? That benefited pfizer.
Anyone and everyone in the FDA would have fast-tracked the approval process given the circumstances.

No one at the FDA was going to say, "Nah, you gotta wait in line behind that company who is waiting for their erectile dysfunction treatment to get approved. They were here first."
Would pfizer even tried without the purchase agreement?
Unequivocally yes.

Once again, it's the free market working as intended.
