There is no need to flout American democracy as he is doing now. Donald Trump would have simply had to put his inordinate ego aside and listen to the advice of the experts around him. When the coronavirus pandemic took hold of the world, Trump should have taken the same steps that have been taken in most of the world's major countries. These were common sense measures that would have saved thousands of lives in the United States. It didn't take much except to listen to the people around him. But Donald Trump was unable to do that. His ego was an insurmountable obstacle. He eventually lost the election because of his mismanagement of the coronavirus pandemic. He, who described the pandemic as a simple flu, was ultimately the victim.
