Nothing much I can think of that will make an electric car burn even more impressively than adding in a whole bunch of sulfur and magnesium... on top of the lithium... Battery tech has proven remarkably resistant to innovation for a long time... Not because there haven't been lots of interesting innovations... But, none ever seem to survive to market, or make much of a difference for some reason ? I do think that is going to change pretty soon... but I'd not bet it would be Li -S -Mg that wins...
