I think we have a generation gap problem here--COO is Chief Operating Officer; CEO is Chief Executive Officer--that is where the buck stops.
Covey can remain Chairman of the Board but will not make any executive decisions in the operation of the company--Only the Board of Directors as can fire the CEO--a CEO can replace, overrule, bypass, etc. a COO. Covey will probably retire from all active participation in the management of the Company on Nov. 01--might even go back to teaching at the University of Chicago. He is into Chinese Art in a big way and is a serious collector--he might even clip cupons--but he will not run SSAX after Nov. 01.
