The vast majority ride through - at the same time a significant number of people sink into serious illness. ....here's one for the record.............the 91 year old patriarch of my aquarium society has had congestive heart failure for a number of years now..........has been in and out of the hospital several times........the hospital he uses is near his home but is NOT that well regarded for heart issues.........he had to go into the hospital in October as he was filling up with fluids and while there contracted COVID..............it was touch and go for a while but he was eventually sent home............he had a difficult breathing spell at home and this time his daughter specified a different hospital further from home but well regarded for heart issues............he went back in and now feels he should have used this new hospital exclusively............he is back home now and slowly regaining his strength............after 75+ plus years in the hobby, he has given up his fish.............the end of an era as the undisputed premier aquarist in the US.
