I have a beef against the ABC television series "Big Sky." It is supposedly based on a novel by one of my favorite authors, C J Box. I haven't read that book, but I'm going to so I can know how and whether they got the nerve to portray a Montana State Highway Patrol trooper in such a scandalous way. Many of the other characters are completely out of synch with any Montanan I've ever known. Even the landscape doesn't fit. I think much of the outdoor scenery is actually British Columbia. The Montana Highway Patrol knows about this series. I think they should be outraged, but I don't see it.
