so how on earth could randy and chesapeake come up with the rest of the capex costs...The news release did say the company was looking to build out metates huh?

scalability?

a heap leach operation could be built out in stages..... One wouldn't need to start mining 160,000 tonnes per day to achieve the economy of scale the old operational parameters sort of required... there was also a 90,000 ?tonne per day opening processing option in the mine build out strategy..

the proof is in the pudding but if chesapeake thought it could build out metates on its own they must have determined some preliminary model for doing so...One that aligned with their economic capacity

Perhaps they could start with a small financially doable heap leach operation.... and then scale their way up.... Randy did mention - in the press release - what was it a 30 year mine life for metates.. So his intention based on his preliminary would be to scale the size of the operation up fairly rapidly....

and then randy went on and says something to the effect that they hope to build out more mines using this technology..... can they keep ahead of the technological expertise of the chinese and the worlds gold majors... or do they hope to license the technology to them... that is a question that randy needs to be asked.
