Yes, it was ... BUT, fortunately it is easily fixed.

VOTING MUST BE BY PAPER BALLOT ONLY ..... NO MACHINES .... AND A VOTER MUST PRODUCE POSITIVE IDENTITY WHICH MUST CONTAIN A PHOTOGRAPH ..... AND A VOTER CAN ONLY VOTE IN THE CONSTITUENCY IN WHICH THAT VOTER IS REGISTERED ..... AND ONCE THE VOTER IS GIVEN A VOTING FORM THE VOTER IS CROSSED OFF THE LIST ..... AND VOTING IS ONLY DONE ON THE DECLARED DAY OF VOTING STRICTLY BETWEEN THE HOURS STIPULATED ..... YOU ARRIVE LATE, TOO BAD, YOU DON'T VOTE ...... ALL OF THIS IS EASILY DONE AS IT'S DONE IN MY PART OF THE WORLD.

If you work it out there was about 150 million votes cast in the US Election. Based on 300 votes/hour/person counting and teams counting over two 8 hour shifts per day, it would require about 10,000 people counting votes for 3 days. Averaged out over 50 States that's 200 counters per State. Obviously some states are bigger or smaller than others, but that's the sort of numbers involved ...... So it's obviously not a "train smash" to have a paper ballot with manual counting, properly observed by ALL parties involved, and then you know that you can THEN TRUST THE SYSTEM .....
