David, you're probably right on the smaller configs but the 1MB chips should still be used about everywhere. Also note : IBM's newest 760 will have level II cache as well as some of Compaq's new notebooks. I am also not worried about Intel's in-package SRAM as heat limitations constrain them as to how much they can include. I also noticed in Electronic Business Today that although lead times have come from 12.5 weeks (JAN) to 11.5 weeks (FEB) the price has remained at $9.05 with steady 3 month forecast. 64K prices fell, and 256K actually rose.
