Like I said it is tribal and cultural. The Republican party has become the tribe of the southern racist and bigot.

The South has little understanding of liberals and generally hates them. But they also envy them. They call them elitists because they can read-lol.

Remember the south is steeped in racism, slavery, then segregation and "Black chain Gangs".

I remember the civil rights marches of the 60's and the hatred that poured out against the African American Community, and they even extended that hatred all the way down to women and little kids.

George Wallace won five states on a segregationist platform and that was only 50 years ago and the cultural traditions remain.

I had never seen many southern racists, or their racism, growing up in California, until I worked on the Alaska Pipeline and also when I played poker in Biloxi for a few weeks, a few years back.

It was repugnant and scary. I was so glad to get out of their alive-lol.

I hear people say:" but there was racism in the northern states". Yes, there was, but it was mostly just segregation, benign neglect, but the Black community did not have to worry every day about being lynched or dealing with overt racism.

But the kids are changing things and the immigration of Asians and Latinos to the south is diluting their intrinsic primitive barbarism.

Soon the racists in the south will evaporate to a manageable level-lol.
