LG Display Earnings May Be Little Affected by Power Outage at NEG Plant -- Market Talk 1:58 am ET December 16, 2020 (Dow Jones) 0658 GMT - LG Display's earnings might be little affected by a recent power outage at a Nippon Electric Glass plant, Hi Investment & Securities says. The brokerage expects the South Korean flat-screen maker to have enough glass stocks to weather NEG's disrupted supply for up to two months, and forecasts NEG to resume operations in 1Q of 2021. If LG Display runs out of glass stocks, higher panel prices amid a tight supply should offset losses from reduced shipments, Hi Investment says. The brokerage raises its target price by 10% to KRW22,000 and maintains its buy rating. Shares closed flat at KRW17,950. (kwanwoo.jun@wsj.com)
