Just curious as to why you feel this way. I bought into Matthew's Korea Fund about 3 weeks ago and am up close to 40%. Normally this would be a time to run like hell but might it be possible the Asia crisis has just begun to turn around. We may have indeed caught the bottom which is a rare event for most of us.

I'll admit I'm inexperiencd in foreign investing but isn't this a compounded effect? We've bought Korean equities for 50 cents on the dollar of September last year. If either the Korean equities market (KOSPI symbol KS11) or the South Korean Won (symbol KRW) goes up, MAKOX will probably go up...? The compounded effect of both of these going up could be tremendous.

Also watching the Korean closed end funds which trade daily like stocks, KF, KEF, FAK, and KIF. Go Korea!
