You misunderstand what I am saying. Of course, Cabletron has made it to this point. They are still a great company! I just feel that the time is coming very soon when there is going to be a lot fewer companies in this industry. I feel that Cisco, Lucent, Nortel, IBM, CPQ, TXN and a few others are starting to stake out the turf and I expect that for a company like Cabletron to survive it must become affiliated with a large telephony equipment supplier like Nortel and Lucent.

I am a big supporter of Cabletron and I want nothing less then future success for them, but I just feel that this might require a merger with a Nortel or Lucent with Nortel my pick due to the existing relationship with them already.
