I think you're better off to just ignore the premium.

If you buy GBTC you're hopefully investing to double or triple your money. You're not trying to make 12% in a year one would think.

The premium is just a bit of noise in a stock move of 200% up or 60% down. The price of BTC is going to determine whether your GBTC investment works, or not. The premium is interesting, but it only matters if you're trying to buy GBTC when the premium is 15% and sell GBTC when the premium is 35%, or something like that.

Are you trying to trade the premium? If not, I would ignore it and just buy GBTC and check back in a year to see how you've done.
