I just sent this Email to my Doctor. I will post his reply later this week:

Re: hydroxychloroquine

I asked for a prescription of this drug to be used as a prophylactic against Covid back in March. I was told this was not a good drug to use. I later discovered that a decision had been made by Kaiser to not allow it's use for this purpose. Kaiser Doctors were not allowed to prescribe it for that reason.

The AMA made the same decision back in March and were forced to reverse themselves last week.

Two major medical journals bad mouthed it with articles this spring and had to withdraw them as being wrong.

Recent studies from a variety of sources, domestic and foreign including the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit and New York's Mount Sinai Health System have concluded that hydroxychloroquine has some medical efficacy in early stages of COVID-19.

It now has world wide acceptance

Has Kaiser changed it opinion and can you now prescribe it for me?
