NH that is suing Mass. over income tax withholdings right now
A lot of people live in NH but work in MA. They pay MA income tax. With many of them tele-working from NH, they don't think they should pay MA tax.
About 15 years ago a sales guy I worked with got the company to change his legal work place to his house so he wouldn't have to pay MA tax. As I understand it, as long as the employer declares them as working in MA, they are screwed. Employer is paying unemployment and workmen's comp in MA. .
